What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #100)

Well it has been a few weeks since I have joined in with the WOYWWers. I have been really busy lately and just before Easter was away on holidays with my family.

Since I last joined in I have gained a DT position on the Mad for Markers team. That is Woo Hoo number one and then Woo Hoo number two is that I achieved my Copic Certification on Sunday! I have also been accepted to attend the Intermediate certification and project courses in June.

I did take a photo of my desk last week... How scary is this? I will have you know that my chair was covered too, so I couldn't even sit down! Can you find my owl friend Hootie? He was a gift from my BFF Sam.

Here is my desk right now though... a little bit tidier. Sorry the photo is so dark. I had to photograph it tonight as I worked today and the lighting is a bit ordinary. Do you like my monochrome Moo Cow card? Check out my Mad For Markers DT post below if you would like to see more details on it.

I am back with the wonderful WOYWW crowd this week...I missed sharing last week! I don't have anything very exciting on my desk this week...a few new goodies that I want to play with and some stuff that needs to be put away. My Anyone for Anya? DT card is on my desk where I gently placed it (think frisbee!!) after showing my BFF yesterday. Don't misunderstand me I like my card... I was just in a hurry! Seems to be my way of life lately! What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #93)

Hi All,

Sorry for the dodgy photo, it was really early this morning when I took this photo and still dark outside. I tried using the flash but it just flared on the book so I used this instead. I usually have this all up and posted by now but as I worked today, then had to drop Master 7 off at a birthday dinner, I am late.

THANK YOU to all who commented last week...I tried to get back to all of you but failed miserably! My excuse is this, I worked Wednesday, Thursday and Friday last week! Nothing like easing back into teaching with a day here and there! Let me tell you that I was exhausted on Friday evening!

On my desk I have put my 'Recipe Book' (I am up to my 4th one!) where I write down all the ingredients used to make each card. I later print out a picture of the card to pop into the book but have just placed the card on the book today to show you what it usually looks like. Yes I am a little OCD... I have mentioned this previously! You can also see some cards that I have made in the last few days. Both birthday cards were made last night!

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #92)

Warning...MESSY alert!! Just look at this mess! I have not touched my desk since Sunday after I completed and posted my Anyone for Anya? DT project HERE, I have basically just piled things on top and walked away! If you look closely you can even see a little pile of stuff on the floor.

Hopefully I will get it sorted out soon but not today as I have been at WORK today!!! Yes work! For those who know me well, I have not been in the classroom in over 5 years (probably closer to 6 actually!) and I was called in to replace a teacher of a Year 5/6 class (think 10 - 12 year olds) today and I LOVED it! I was not nervous or worried, it felt great! Miss 5 said to me this morning "Are you sure that you are ready to go back to school Mum?" I responded "yes" and  she then asked, "Are you nervous?" And I said, "No!" And you know what... I really wasn't! Looks like I really am ready to return to the classroom!

Sorry for waffling...I have just had a really great day! :o)

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #91)

Prepare yourselves my blogging friends as I am in a bit of a mess this week! I have card orders pending (plus all of my Pay It Forwards) and I am trying to get myself organised in case I get called in to work. For those who don't know I am a primary school teacher on leave from my job and I will be working as an emergency (substitute) teacher this year. Basically I will get a phone call between 7:00 and 7:30 am to teach a class for the day. So I need to have all of my school stuff and the two kiddos organised. EEK!

I have my sketch book out as I have an order for the cow card (with a different sentiment) that I need to make by Friday. The images under each sketch are of cards that I have made using the sketch. I think if you compare last week's photo with this one you will see lots of stuff that hasn't been put away and you should see the floor! Might get to it tomorrow... or the next day!! I have nothing to fix for the kids this week so hooray. I wonder if that has anything to do with them both being at school at not having as much time for playing with / creating / breaking things! Miss 5 has her first full week of school next week so you don't want to come visiting after school on Friday the 11th! LOL!

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #89)

Wednesday AGAIN! I can't believe it has been a week since I last posted a photo of my desk! This week I am trying to get my folder of Greeting Farm stamps organised and I have an emu that needs his legs re-attached. He was made by Miss 5 and he lost his legs while running around searching for food! For those who visit my desk regularly you know that I always have some kind of item in need of repair for my children and this week is obviously no different! I also have a few cards lying around and my Basic Grey paper pads on the desk from the last DT card I made. I love these paper pads!

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #88)

Another Wednesday, another photograph of my desk... at least I am back on my desk this week and not still taking over the kitchen table like last week! For those who wondered it is a large table that seats 8 people and I had every part of it covered! I also had my guillotine and Sizzix Big Shot on the kitchen bench so there was no much room for food preparation or eating!

I finally got around to using my new Hero Arts Cling stamp and I am trying it out again. I used it on a card for my grandmother who turned 88 recently. Will post it soon.

THANKS!!! to all those lovely commenters from last week. I am sorry I didn't get back to everyone but my daughter started school last Friday (Yes I know, a goofy day to return to school for the year but that's the Government for you!) and my son was unwell all week and we weren't even sure if he would get to school on Friday. He made it for half a day so that was an achievement.

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #87)

*** This is my second post today!***

Not much on my desk today as I have everything spread out on my kitchen table! My BFF (Hi Sam!) came over yesterday and despite the heat we had a fun-filled day of crafting, chatting and way too many cups of tea. Most of them went cold anyway and we do not drink cold tea! Yuck! Sorry I am waffling on... here is the photo of my kitchen table. I really should get it cleaned up so we have somewhere to eat tonight!

On the table you can see a bookmark that I have since completed (see below) and not much else. I neglected to photograph the messy end of the table as it is really bad. It will take me about an hour to get everything back into my craft room study (I am dreaming...I don't have a craft room! I share the study with my hubby!).

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #86) Happy Australia Day!

Well it is Australia Day and there is not much on my desk today (this is how it looked last night!) as I have been cleaning the study, playing "Ben 10 Protector of Earth" on the Wii with Master 7, and painting with Miss 5! Phew! Hubby was working today (no public holiday for him) so it's all about me  and the kids today.

Anyway here is my desk with a few cards I made recently (will post details later) and a Fairy wand to be repaired. Got to get the hot glue gun out for a few toy repairs! The same pile of stamps that still haven't been put away. I think some are from before Christmas! Eeek!

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #85)

I missed last week's gathering of the desks as I was away on holidays with my family. I am very pleased to be back joining in the fun with everyone this week, linking up my desk at Julia's blog the Stamping Ground.

Now...what can we see on my desk today? Two new Hero Arts clings stamps, one has been strategically placed over my DT card that will go on the Anyone for Anya? blog on Sunday for the next challenge. I had a go at making a felt rose with my MFT Die-namics die. Not completely happy with it but will try again.

If you visited my blog before Christmas and read about me having to finish some bookmarks for a customer order I have added the pics below. Nicki (Hi Nic...I know you stalk peruse my blog!) loved them and the lady at work liked hers too I believe! I must apologise for the photos though. It was really hard to photograph them after they were laminated as they were so shiny!

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #83) The first for 2011!

Lots to see on my desk today Peeps! My new stamps (shhh don't tell my hubby!) for a start. Lucky he doesn't read my blog much...just checks how many hits I've had! LOL! Anyway, can you see it? My new pink baby! My ATG gun arrived, not in time for Christmas but it did arrive...yesterday! I've even had a go and it was super easy to load up the tape. I love it!

To the left you can see some new Stampin' Up punches and stamp sets that I mounted yesterday and to the right some Washi tape that just arrived with my stamps from The Greeting Farm.

On my scor-pal I have my first ever design team piece for the Anyone for Anya challenge blog. You still have time to enter your February Birthday calendar page and you can win a lovely Magnolia stamp. If you want some details on my calendar page click *here*

I also have my first bow that I made with my Bow Easy. I have had the Bow Easy for months and didn't know what to do. After watching a video tutorial on it I discovered how simple it was. Miss 5 has already lined up some toys that NEED bows after watching the 'magic' happen!

For anyone who is interested on the surgery I did last week on Dorothy the Dinosaur (see this post if you are confused) all went well and Miss 5 even commented that, 'She looks like new' (oh to see through the eyes of a 5 year old) and 'You're amazing Mum!' (This part is so true! LOL!)

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #82)

What is on my desk today? A huge mess! I have Miss 5's Dorothy the Dinosaur toy to repair. Too much love has seen Dorothy develop an eye injury (it is coming off!) so Mum to the rescue with her craft glue. I have 2011 diaries filled out ready to open on New Year's Day. All of my Christmas patterned paper is to the left where I threw it after finishing my extra Christmas cards made for my BFF and my sister (will blog those later). I am still so tempted to start my 2011 cards while I am still feeling festive and while all of my Christmas supplies are easily accessible. Is that crazy?

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #81)

Hello fellow Bloggers! I have a bit of a mess happening on my desk today. I am attempting to finish off an order of three bookmarks for one of my best customers (after my sister that is!). There is plenty to see including a new Hero Arts stamp I am itching to colour in (must finish order first!) plus a yucky card (top right) I made following a sketch challenge that my BFF and I set each other. We follow a sketch and must use a stamp that has never been used before. I had great expectations for this card but it looks horrible. Then when I tried to fix it up, I over-blinged it! Eeek! When I tackle it again (and I will), I will just put the poppy squares onto a white card base (again with the Clean & Simple look!) and go from there!

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #80)

For those who visited my last WOYWW (thank you!)... you will see that I did make my Clean and Simple Christmas Card and popped a photo of my children on it! Voila! It is still a bit hard to take for my hubby and my sister (Hi Rach!) who are used to lots of layers and embellishments from my card creations. I think there is too much white showing for their liking but I am quite happy with the result! What do you think? (See below for a closer look) 

What else can you see on my desk today...hmmm! The Graduation card I made for my niece (see my previous post for details). Photos  ready to be cut and attached to the card bases. A half finished card with two images from CC Designs ready to go. My previous post also has a completed Santa Emma card. Plus there are lots of images waiting to be coloured in with my precious copics that you can see in the top left. Well bloggers that is me done. Thank you again to all those who found the time to leave me a comment last week. I really love hearing what you have to say. I managed to visit over 80 blogs and left some love at each one!

This is a close up of the Christmas card that I am sending out this year. No my daughter does not have a strange facial tattoo... she'd had her face painted at the Christmas party we were at on the day! A very plain and simple card...no layering, no ribbon, no patterned paper but I did add some glitter and some bling! The sketched rectangle is a Hero Arts stamp, the sentiment is from Stampin' Up and I used Martha's Holly Punch.

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #79)

It's another busy Wednesday on my desk. Well it looks busy anyway! I really haven't produced much in the last week although I finished a birthday card for a friend's son last night. Sorry Dorcas! It will be late again but the Christmas presents will get to you on time! (My friend Dorcas lives in the UK so I had better get the presents in the post pronto!)

You can see a couple of crappy looking Christmas cards on the left! Even my husband said, 'They aren't very good are they? You might as well buy a cheap pack from the shops!' I was trying to go for the simplistic look (easy to duplicate) but I think I will have to start again! Maybe a larger sentiment might do the trick.

I am sort of back into the card-making groove. Needless to say, my desk is now looking a bit more productive than last week and I have an idea floating around my head for a super fast Christmas card design. I have also started my Christmas shopping! Woo hoo! I am not feeling as overwhelmed as I was last week so my mojo is sort of back.

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #77) NOTHING!!!

Well  my  fellow Bloggers,  you  really  need to  bookmark  this  page as this is something that you may never ever see again...  my desk is clean. (No Sam I have not put everything on the floor!) I even vacuumed up the fluff and tiny paper scraps! Want to know why? My mojo has gone on holidays early! I have cards to make and I can't be bothered! Soooo, I cleaned my desk and took some photos for you. Hope you enjoy having a really good look at my space this week. And by the way...if you find my mojo out there please send it back...I really need it!

So... here you can actually see the colour of my desk-top. The pile of stamps in the top right corner all need to be cut and/or mounted onto EZ mount.

Here is one area of my stamp drawers with four units of drawers. I have another two units also full of stamps.

We have built in shelving above the desk area that goes along the entire length of the wall. Here are some of my punches and some of my Stampin' Up sets. I also have my collection of Triart markers stored in plastic containers on this shelf.

More punches, Stampin' Up wheels and flowers on the bottom shelf. On the top shelf I have my folders which house my sizzix sizzlit dies, cuttlebug dies and embossing folders and I have stamps also stored in these folders.

Here is part of my bookshelf showing my clear stamps and some craft magazines. I have another full shelf of magazines that I have not photographed.

What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #76)

What's on my Workdesk this fine Wednesday???

If you really want  to know...a mess! I am really hoping that one of these Wednesdays I will be able to post a photograph of my spotless desk with everything put away where it is supposed to be (not hidden on the floor out of view!) Alas my fellow bloggers that dream will be pushed aside for another week because as you can see another crafting tornado has hit my desk this week and left it all messy! Hopefully I am not the only one in the blogging world that this tornado has hit...check out Julia's blog (the Stamping Ground) to see if anyone was lucky enough to have escaped this terrible catastrophe!
