What's on your Workdesk? (Wednesday #92)

Warning...MESSY alert!! Just look at this mess! I have not touched my desk since Sunday after I completed and posted my Anyone for Anya? DT project HERE, I have basically just piled things on top and walked away! If you look closely you can even see a little pile of stuff on the floor.
Hopefully I will get it sorted out soon but not today as I have been at WORK today!!! Yes work! For those who know me well, I have not been in the classroom in over 5 years (probably closer to 6 actually!) and I was called in to replace a teacher of a Year 5/6 class (think 10 - 12 year olds) today and I LOVED it! I was not nervous or worried, it felt great! Miss 5 said to me this morning "Are you sure that you are ready to go back to school Mum?" I responded "yes" and  she then asked, "Are you nervous?" And I said, "No!" And you know what... I really wasn't! Looks like I really am ready to return to the classroom!

Sorry for waffling...I have just had a really great day! :o)

Thanks for looking... have a great day!

Great looking desk. Lots of fun stuff to play with.

Good to hear that going back to work was not too bad. I have to do the same thing in a very short time.

Congratulations! I'd have been very nervous - I think you're right - you're ready! Your desk has really got it going on - like the dies and notice how methodically you pick the gems of the backing card...sign of an organised mind I think!

10-12 year olds - that is a real test. So glad that you enjoyed school. Some things just come naturally. I cant see anything wrong with your desk at all. My desk usually looks like that when I am creating something. LOL. Jenny B xox

Well done you for going back in the classroom and not being nervous... I left just under 4 years ago to be a SAHM after 2nd child was born. I childmind now, and am not sure i would want to go back into teaching, particularly those with approaching hormones LOL!!!

Oh look at that desk, don't think I've ever seen you quite so untidy before! It's liberating once in a while though! Well done on returning to work, 10-12 yr olds would be a hard test! No WOYWW from me this week, too much going on, very busy at work, so no time to visit peeps!

Hugs

My desk only looks relatively tidy cos I dumped everything else on the floor. Well done for getting back into the class room. Don't think I could face 10-12 year olds.

Sometimes life just has to come first, right? I can totally relate to piling and walking away, but I do see lots of inspiration there. Have a great week.

Lots of lovely stuff on your desk this week. I'm so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your first day back as a teacher, albeit as a temp fill-in. Looks as though your ready to return for good. Elizabeth x #97

Congrats, I reckon I would be nervous. I'm back in the classroom next year (fingers crossed) and not sure how I will feel about it!

I love your desk - lots going on , lots of love in papercraft!

Hello Susan, many thanks for visiting my blog. In answer to your question about the acetone and why it's on my desk, it is there to remove before using the indexing, i.e. the blue dye, that is on Clarity Stamps. Apparently, this is done because all the stamps are hand cut and as they are clear the dye helps them see the stamp. Elizabeth x #97
